T-minus 10

I have been running simulations on my trusty machine in the past couple of days and I know my computer is doing some serious number crunching when its fans become alive and it starts humming real loud to get my attention. I think it's complaining. Anyway, sitting next to it and hearing that fan go faster and faster, I get this image of a rocket revving up for blast off. Other times I think I am going to gradually see smoke coming out of my computer and the whole thing just self-combusting... go up in glory!

Who said programming is not imaginative???? :-P

Oopse... it did it again.

The edge of the case of my macbook where the wrist rests has cracked... AGAIN. Last time I was assured it was only the fault of one manufacturer and that it had been rectified. Not so.
I was reading on the web about what a common problem this is. This guy had had to get his fixed three times already.
I have to say i am a bit disappointed with apple. I thought i was getting such a stable and great box.
My macbook crashes and cracks. In spite of the fact that i care for it like a baby - getting it bibs (iskin) and protective clothing (cover).
I use my computer all the time so i can't take leave it in support every couple of months for a couple of days.
This is bad form.
and horrible timing.

My new macbook

the mac has crashed once;
thunderbird has crashed twice;
firefox has crashed once.

I have not owned this computer for longer than the number of times it and its applications have crashed.
Can it be that windows has been to blame for what it is actually the fault of intel?

update: sorry number of times should have been number of days. Styx is being a stick!! :-P
Also Valardur, my mac did a restart so that is as bad a crash as it can be. :-( It was actually kind of funny, because it took me a while to understand what the screen meant!!
