Borat

Here is the trailer of the new Borat movie:

I am unsure about this movie - i know that i don't like it and the view of Kazakhstan in the eyes of the world is going to be changed forever. Definitely in a bad way. Why would anyone make something so... vulgar? it is a waste of the world's resources - this guy Sacha Cohen is smart so why does he make these kind of movies?

Personally i think this movie needs to be boycotted.

I don't know if you saw any of Parviz Sayyad's SAMAD movie series, but from this short teaser, this seems to have the simillar plot. The difference is Samad movies had domestic audiance, thus the comedy was justified. I don't approve of this either.

I don't think I ever watched them however am I not correct in saying that in those movies they make fun of one character and not a whole nation?

I agree with the domestic audience clause - it is always more acceptable if for example a jew makes jewish jokes but if someone else makes them it can become offensive. Similar thing with the audience.

I keep telling you, I don't know why people think Ali G is funny.... wasn't he doing the same thing before with the rap culture?
